City council members are entrusted with making thoughtful policy decisions, safeguarding taxpayer resources and representing the voice of our community. After 35 years of living in Nixa, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the people, businesses, schools, and character that make this community so special. As Nixa continues to grow, I want to help ensure we build on our strong foundation while planning carefully and responsibly for the future.

I’m a small business leader who believes strong communities are built when people have the opportunity to learn, work, and succeed. Through my work leading trade schools and coaching business owners, I’ve seen firsthand how career education and entrepreneurship strengthen families and grow our local economy. I believe deeply in the values of faith, family, and community, and I’ve spent much of my career helping people develop the skills and confidence needed to build meaningful careers.

My husband Jeff and I have proudly called Nixa home for more than 35 years, where we raised our children and now enjoy watching our grandchildren grow up. We love the Ozarks’ outdoor life — boating, camping, trail riding, and cheering on our G-boys at their dirt bike races. Nixa has given so much to our family, and I look forward to listening to residents and serving our community as we continue building a strong future together!

WHAT MATTERS

STRENGTHENING OUR LOCAL ECONOMY

Small Businesses and career opportunities are the backbone of a strong local economy. As a small business leader, I understand how important it is for businesses to have a city government that is responsive, efficient, and easy to work with. I want to help ensure Nixa continues strengthening partnerships with local businesses so new opportunities, jobs, and innovation can grow here.

SUPPORTING PUBLIC SAFTEY

Public Safety is the number one issue I hear about when talking with residents across Nixa. As our community continues to grow, we want to ensure our police, fire, and emergency services have the staffing, equipment, and training they need to protect our families and neighborhoods. By supporting our first responders and working together as a community we can continue to keep Nixa the safe, family-centered place we are proud to call home.

CONTINUING RESPONSIBLE GROWTH

Nixa’s growth has created challenges in keeping infrastructure planning ahead of demand. I believe continued, thoughtful planning for our roads, utilities, public services are essential for our future. As we grow, I also want to concentrate on quality-of-life amenities by supporting expanding parks, walking and bike trails and out door spaces. Looking for opportunities to better connect our neighborhoods and the surrounding cities together so families can enjoy all Nixa has to offer.

INVESTING IN STRONG INFRASTRUCTURE

Nixa is one of the fastest growing communities in southwest Missouri, growing from about 12,000 residents in 2000 to more than 26,000 today. The community has done a good job managing that growth, and it will be important to continue planning ahead so development keeps pace with infrastructure, traffic, and public services. I also believe, clear communication with residents about how and where Nixa is growing helps build trust and keeps our citizens engaged in the future of Nixa.

One of the things people love most about Nixa is its strong sense of community, including the small-town feel, one high school that brings us all together, and neighborhoods where families feel safe and connected. Residents value clean neighborhoods, strong schools, local businesses, and the welcoming community spirit that makes Nixa such a special place to live. As we grow, it’s important that Nixa remains the kind of community where neighbors know each other and families feel grateful to call it home.

PRESERVING THE CHARACTER THAT DEFINES NIXA

I WOULD BE HONORED TO EARN YOUR VOTE AND SERVE NIXA CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 3!
